Federal Work Study Student
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Physics and Astronomy department on the Dahlonega campus.
Perform fluid dynamics experiments under direction of faculty member. May involve mixing of samples, imaging optics, cameras, analysis of data, programming in MATLAB, reading and understanding of journal articles, and analysis and interpretation, and writing and presentation of results. Running of computational code may be necessary and analysis of results. May also include lab cleaning/organization. May also include the use of tools.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Familiarity with introductory physics and experience with physics and/or chemistry labs. Ability to mix fluids samples. Ability to use cameras and computer imaging or willingness and aptitude to learn. Some familiarity with MATLAB or similar programming language preferred.
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
