As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more:  As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to alarm-panel activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support security-related operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and vehicle log records.
• Control access for deliveries, trailers, and vendor vehicles in accordance with facility procedures, communicating with appropriate site contacts as needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
