About this Role
As a Clinical Manager with Fresenius Medical Care, you will ensure that quality patient care is delivered while maintaining clinical operations. You will lead a close-knit, collaborative team responsible for delivering unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients with end stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

Purpose and ScopeManage and oversee daily facility operations ensuring cost-effective performance in compliance with legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse to provide quality patient care from admission to discharge. Represent the clinic in marketing and presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Clinic Operations- Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
- Partner with internal Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services.
- Collaborate with the Home Therapies Program Manager to oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program.
- Maintain integrity of medical and operations records, comply with data collection and auditing activities.
- Accountable for ICD coding.
- Responsible for required network reporting and on-site state or federal surveys.
- Manage the tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, coordinating activities and ensuring results, cost, method, and staffing alignment.
- Administer daily business operations of dialysis clinics, managing staff functions, patient care quality, plant and equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
- Manage profit and loss and other financial aspects to achieve or exceed budget and KPI targets.
- Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge.
- Act as a resource for patients and families to address concerns and questions.
- Oversee timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans.
- Manage patient schedules to ensure facility efficiency and develop action plans for missed treatments.
- Report changes in patient status related to clinical, insurance, or transportation issues.
- Participate in selection and hiring of new team members and ensure completion of orientation and mandatory training.
- Ensure all patient care employees complete appropriate training courses and maintain current licensures and certifications.
- Provide support for clinical staff, encouraging professional growth.
- Maintain current knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Obtain clinical feedback for employee evaluations, establish annual goals, and conduct evaluations.
- Document disciplinary actions and coordinate with Human Resources and Clinic Director of Operations when needed.
- Manage staff scheduling and payroll.
- Facilitate the application process for physician privileges and ensure compliance with Medical Staff By-Laws.
- Build and maintain strong physician relationships, ensuring regular communication.
- Participate in the governing body, an interdisciplinary team for each region, including MDs, DOs, etc.
- Collaborate with Clinical Manager/Charge RN, Medical Director, and physicians on direct patient care responsibilities.
- Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge.
- Address patient concerns and review patient satisfaction surveys.
- Develop and communicate efficient patient schedules.
- Assist with patient workflow.
- Implement and maintain a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Process and Quality Assessment and Improvement Program (QAPI) Improvement Team.
- Review Center operations for compliance with Federal and State laws.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Medical Director and physicians, facilitating staff relationships and regular communication.
- Support and drive FMS quality standards through regulatory compliance and CQI practice.
- Work with Charge RN and Medical Director to implement Quality FKC goals and develop facility-specific action plans.
- Ensure appropriate training per FMS policy to maintain compliance.
- Collaborate with Charge RN to manage adverse safety events and action thresholds.
- Communicate and implement all quality policies and procedures to facility staff.
