Overview

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Supply Depot Administrator (SDA) at Fort Rucker, AL. This role focuses on inventory and material management within a fast-paced logistics environment supporting the U.S. Army Pilot Training School. The incumbent will be trained on first shift for four weeks, then rotate to third shift (Friday–Monday, 9:00 PM–7:30 AM). The position emphasizes problem-solving, aviation logistics experience, and a mission-first mindset to ensure accurate parts, orders, and deliveries.

Location:

Fort Rucker, AL. The Material Management Team acquires indirect goods and services to support Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, emphasizing on-time delivery and quality. The team collaborates to mitigate supply chain issues and drive value for the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Logistics Support (50%): process and interpret purchase orders in customer parts management software and SAP; reconcile and update order status; coordinate deliveries with warehouses and sub-contractors; manage receipt and issue of core inventory for exchanges and repairs; monitor demand trends and identify spikes to adjust stocked inventory; prioritize material issuance by sales order type and advise on freight/shipment options; coordinate with CSR colleagues, Program Logistic Liaisons, and Tech Support Team to meet KPI targets.
  • Material Handler (25%): prepare and maintain documentation for warehouse operations; ensure proper identification and packaging of parts; prepare bills of lading and notify customers of shipment details; manage stock transfers, receipts, and stocking per procedures.
  • Customer Service Representative (25%): develop and maintain relationships with the US Army to promote communication and customer satisfaction; monitor CLS KPIs for Fort Rucker targets; coordinate with AH support functions to resolve issues and mitigate risk; provide daily RTD (Remain to Deliver) updates and participate in RTD meetings.
Your Boarding Pass (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum five (5) years of experience in logistics or technical support. An A&P license can substitute for up to three years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; eligibility to obtain a Government CAC; must be a US Person under ITAR (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or equivalent).
  • Education beyond high school can substitute for experience at a rate of 2 years of education = 1 year of experience.
Preferred Education/Skills
  • 2–3 years SAP experience (SD/CS/Procurement preferred); two-year college; at least one year in helicopter/aviation industry;
    Six Sigma;
    Hazardous Materials Certification.
Licensure/Certification s
  • Small equipment operator (e.g., forklift) required within 1 year of hire.
Physical Requirements
  • Onsite: 90%; vision, hearing, speaking abilities for daily operations; manual handling up to 30 lbs; ability to stand, sit, squat/kneel, and travel as needed; PPE as required (steel-toed shoes for shop floor visits; protection for hearing/eyes as appropriate).
