- Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with current credentials
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- At least one year of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Permanent address located 50 miles or more from the facility
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care for medical-surgical patients, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring for changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to implement patient-centered treatment plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and follow established protocols for acute changes
- Educate patients and families on post-acute care, medications, and follow-up instructions
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment while adapting to the demands of a busy Med Surg unit
- Flexible contract with a 13-week duration and immediate start option
