Position: Full-Time Carpenter University
Elevate your carpentry skills at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This full-time role involves general maintenance, renovations, and custom cabinetry installation.

As a Carpenter in the Facilities Management department, you will report to the Trade Supervisor or Manager. With five years of recent journey person experience ideally in a commercial environment, you will bring expertise in blueprint interpretation and cabinet construction. Knowledge of the Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act is essential for maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and renovations as per the Carpenter’s trade

• Install floors, walls, ceilings, and custom cabinetry

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and lifts

• Maintain compliance with safety regulations

• Ensure cleanliness of the work environment

Requirements:

• Valid Carpenter certification from Nova Scotia Department

• Preferred completion of certified trades school program

• Minimum five years related experience in construction

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Must be able and willing to work overtime
