Campus Carpenter University

Dalhousie University is seeking a skilled Carpenter committed to hands-on maintenance and renovations on our Halifax campus. Bring your expertise to create and install custom carpentry elements across the university.

In this in-person role, you'll report to the Trade Supervisor and engage in various carpentry tasks. Key responsibilities include installing floors, constructing custom cabinetry, and adhering to safety regulations. Your five years of relevant experience will be vital in maintaining the university's facilities and enhancing our environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and renovation tasks

• Install floors, walls, doors, and custom cabinetry

• Erect and work from scaffolding and lifts

• Maintain a clean and organized work site

• Follow safety regulations and procedures

Requirements:

• Valid Carpenter certificate recognized by Nova Scotia

• Five years of journey person experience

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience with cabinet construction and installation

• Good communication and organization skills
