General Manager- "Premium leisure and wellbeing"
Location:
Guernsey
Salary: £60,000+
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to lead a premium leisure and wellbeing venue. This is a hands‑on leadership role, responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences, driving commercial performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the business.
Key Duties- Lead the overall operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional standards across all areas.
- Inspire, manage, and develop a high‑performing team.
- Oversee guest experience, service quality, and operational delivery.
- Drive revenue growth through strong commercial awareness and creative initiatives.
- Manage budgets, payroll, rotas, stock control, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategy, planning, and business performance.
- Support events, programming, and partnerships that enhance the venue offer.
- Maintain a visible, hands‑on presence across the site.
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Background in premium leisure, hospitality, wellbeing, health club, or lifestyle venues.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
- Confident communicator with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Hands‑on approach with a strong focus on service excellence.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and busy event periods.
- Strong understanding of compliance, standards, and guest journey delivery.
- Minimum 3 years’ management experience in a premium leisure, hospitality, or wellbeing environment.
- Experience overseeing operations, team performance, and service standards.
- Track record of improving performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience managing rotas, stock, budgets, and day‑to‑day operational controls.
- Previous exposure to high‑end customer‑facing environments is highly desirable.
