Location:

Dalkeith, Scotland – applicants must live within approximately one hour's drive of Dalkeith

Salary: £16.25 – £17.00 per hour + overtime + overnight allowance

An excellent permanent opportunity has become available for an experienced Mobile Crane and/or MEWP Operator who also holds a Class 2 (Category

C) driving licence.

Working for a growing infrastructure business, you will be based from the company's operational yard in Dalkeith and operate brand-new Böcker equipment on infrastructure and energy projects throughout Scotland.

This is not a role where you will work at the same site every day. You could be travelling throughout Scotland, and some projects will involve overnight stays away from home.

For that reason, flexibility is essential.

Pay

There are two starting rates, depending upon your current qualifications:

£17.00 per hour – if you already hold the required crane/MEWP qualifications alongside your Class 2 licence.

£16.25 per hour – if you have the relevant operating background and Class 2 licence but require the company to put you through IPAF training. Your rate will increase once fully qualified.

There are also opportunities for weekend overtime, together with an overnight allowance when working away.

What You'll Be Doing

* Operating a brand-new Böcker mobile crane

* Delivering equipment to customer sites

* Carrying out lifting operations safely and professionally

* Completing pre-use inspections and daily vehicle checks

* Working across infrastructure and energy projects throughout Scotland

* Working closely with customers, site teams and Project Managers

* Ensuring lifting activities comply with company procedures and industry standards

* Maintaining excellent health & safety standards

* Representing the company professionally on customer sites

* Staying away overnight when projects require it

What We're Looking For

You must hold a Class 2 (Category

C) driving licence.

You should also have:

* CPCS Mobile Crane qualification and/or IPAF 1b

* Experience with in lifting, crane, MEWP or a closely related environment

* Good understanding of health & safety

* Flexibility to travel extensively throughout Scotland

* Willingness to stay away from home when required

* A reliable and professional approach

* Good communication and customer-facing skills

Previous experience operating Böcker equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.

The operational yard is based in Dalkeith.

Due to early starts and the amount of travelling involved, we are specifically looking for applicants who live within approximately one hour's drive of Dalkeith.

You must also be comfortable travelling to projects throughout Scotland, including overnight stays when required.
