Substitute Teacher or Supply Teacher

Position: Substitute Teacher or Supply Teacher (2025-2026)

Paulding County School District is looking for substitute teachers to help provide our students with quality instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Qualifications:

* Be 18 years of age (21 years of age to substitute teach at high schools)

* High school diploma or GED (official transcripts are required as proof of the highest level of education)

* Completion of the RESA Substitute/Paraprofessional/Supply Teacher Training

The Paulding County School District reserves the right to accept alternatives to some of the above requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide appropriate instruction based on lesson plans provided by the teacher.

* Assist all students in achieving academic standards by following performance and behavior expectations in the classroom.

* Support students with encouragement.

* Use time efficiently.

* Maintain a safe physical setting for instruction.

* Adhere to appropriate safety procedures.

* Follow federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures.

Salary: $150 per day
- Substitute / $200 per day
- Certified Supply (someone who holds a Georgia Teaching Certificate)
