PositionSTRUCTURES INSTRUCTOR- PART TIME POSITION
Quick LookUnder supervision of the Aviation Program Director, this position is responsible for all aspects of instruction in the Aviation Structures program. The Adjunct instructor will work with the full time Chatt Tech instructor on delivering instructional material for the Aviation Structures / Composites program. Implements instructional delivery that is stimulating, thought provoking and engaging to students in face‑to‑face, online and lab settings according to Chatt Tech’s curriculum and teaching methods.
Oversees safety compliance including safe lab practices per EPA regulations and OSHA standards. Instructors will work with the Aviation Program Director, the Dean and other faculty members and academic leadership to meet department, division and college goals. Program director will advise students and promote recruitment and retention efforts for the Aviation Structures Program.
NOTE:
Adjunct Instructor positions are part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited and there is no expectation that your association with Chatt Tech will extend beyond this term.
- Aircraft Structural Technology Diploma
- OR
- Five + years working on aircraft structures in a manufacturing or MRO environment OR Airframe License
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings or just an Airframe License, but not required
- Appropriate Industry Certifications as NC3 or others
- Working knowledge and experience with teaching in Structures preferably with a MRO environment.
- Working knowledge and proven experience in program assessments
Salary--$40.00 per hour. There are no State Benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
