The Production Supervisor at Worthouse Inc., will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed.
As part of this environment, the Production Supervisor will be expected to take a hands-on approach, collaborate across departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This person will be responsible for installing and setting up production lines. Implementing production in accordance with applicable standard law in Georgia will be key. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong leadership presence and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
About
the Role Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient use of resources (labor, materials, and equipment).Monitor production output to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.Ensure the timely execution of production schedules, adjusting priorities as necessary to meet demand.Supervise, train, and mentor production team members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop plans for improving employee performance.Lead team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and changes in production.Monitor production processes to ensure that products meet the company’s quality standards.Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols, ensuring defects and errors are minimized.Work closely with the quality control team to address and resolve production quality issues.Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction, suggesting and implementing solutions to improve production efficiency.Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen to enhance production workflows.Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to refine production methods and improve product design for manufacturability.Ensure that the production team adheres to all health and safety regulations, implementing safety protocols as needed.Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff to maintain a safe working environment.Investigate and report accidents or incidents and take corrective action to prevent future occurrences.Skills Required
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team in a dynamic and often fast-paced environment.Ability to quickly identify and resolve production-related issues, such as bottlenecks, equipment failures, or quality control problems.Ability to adapt to rapidly changing production demands, processes, and priorities.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.Familiarity with production equipment, manufacturing processes, and relevant software tools.Ability to implement and monitor quality control systems to ensure products meet company standards.Ability to track production metrics, analyze data, and generate reports on production performance and improvement areas.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business Operations Management, or related field preferred.Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Management are highly valued.3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Experience in a startup manufacturing company preferred.Demonstrated success in managing production teams and improving manufacturing processes.Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising.Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment.Basic understanding of machine operations and the ability to troubleshoot common production equipment issues.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and data analysis.High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production, quality control, and reporting.Job Type: Full-time Salary: $80,000 per year Benefits:
