Quarry Heavy Equipment Operator - Mulberry, GA

This is an entry-level position that requires operating multiple pieces of equipment in a quarry environment. The employee will be responsible for the safe operation of various equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, track hoes, excavators, and more. Additional duties may be assigned as needed due to workload, vacations, or employee leaves.

• Examine equipment parts for damage and/or excessive wear; perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to the Foreman.
• Clean material from rail cars that are being returned.
• Check the material being loaded for quality.
• Able to retrieve and write rail car numbers accurately.
• Load haul trucks and customer trucks, feed the portable plant, stockpiling and loading bins, shovel and clean.
• Work will be performed per the supervisor's instruction and, in some cases, may be performed independently without compromising safety or quality of work.
• The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as needed.

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
