Physician Substitute (LPN, RN, Paramedic, or EMT-A) supporting donor screening and medical oversight in a plasma donation center.
Responsibilities- perform donor physicals
- review laboratory results
- administer informed consent
- monitor and respond to donor reactions
- ensure compliance with SOPs and FDA regulations
- Collaborates closely with Medical Director and licensed physicians, providing medical assessments and maintaining accurate donor records
- High school diploma or equivalent
- current RN, LPN, or Advanced EMT license in the state
- CPR certification or ability to obtain
- prior experience not mandatory
- strong attention to detail
- ability to handle high-pressure environments
- familiarity with cGMP and compliance standards
role focuses on plasma donation process, ensuring donor safety and eligibility, with responsibilities constrained by licensing limitations (e.g., cannot prescribe or evaluate immunizations or review abnormal lab results beyond review).
