Qualifications & Desired

Experience:
  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Oregon
  • Demonstrated experience managing diverse K-12 caseloads
  • Familiarity with both self-contained and resource classroom settings
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to perform comprehensive general duties associated with the Special Education Teacher role
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to fostering student success, adaptability, and a proactive, positive mindset
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Deliver effective, differentiated instruction that meets the unique needs of each student
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress, assessments, and compliance requirements
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth and self-advocacy
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staffing, and professional development opportunities as required
