IT Support, Hardware Engineer
Ascentec Engineering is hiring! We are looking for a Network Technician to join our team in Dallas, Oregon. This position will provide essential support for computers, applications, systems, devices, access, and hardware issues. The selected candidate will identify, research, and resolve technical problems while communicating and coordinating effectively at all levels. This position is on‑site at our Dallas, Oregon facility and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
Job Responsibilities- Maintaining and supporting computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
- Providing user support and training for hardware and software issues
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating and implementing network security measures
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other computer, network, and system problems
- Safely replacing faulty hardware components as required
- Learning, developing, and using automation tools
- Consulting with network users about solving existing system problems
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
- Understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
- Quick learner of new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and online resources
- Ability to troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, controllers
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Dependable and flexible when necessary
- LAN and WAN experience
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications
- Self‑starter, self‑motivated, and flexible
- Reliable and dependable
- Positive, customer‑focused attitude
- Honest with stellar integrity
- Professional demeanor and respectful to people in all situations
- Willingness to help others as needs and tasks change often
- Works in an office and/or machine shop environment
- May walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds on a continuous basis
- May need to crawl under desks, climb ladders, and run wires

- $20 to $26 per hour DOE
