Full‑time, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., 28‑bed Med‑Surg unit focused on post‑surgical patients with overflow to general Med‑Surg and telemetry. Magnet designated, Leapfrog and Prism awards. Enhanced sign‑on bonus eligible (up to $20 k for RNs with one year of experience).

• Exemplary Practice & Outcomes
  • Perform nursing process with assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence‑based practice.
  • Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care adapted to cultural diversity.
  • Partner with patients and significant others for bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and education, keeping patient goals central.
  • Practice current clinical standards.
• Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Coordinate safe, quality patient care and documentation, supporting an inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and support recruitment/retention of team members.
  • Participate in performance improvement and shared governance at all system levels.
• Professional Development & Initiative
  • Complete initial and ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education.
  • Serve as preceptor/mentor for professional nurses, staff, or students.
• Evidence‑Based Practice & Research
  • Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
  • Participate in value analysis and data collection, consult experts, and use appropriate resources.
• Resources & Support
  • Plan care across the continuum, support protocols and procedures, and optimize human and material resources.
  • Perform duties as assigned and comply with Wellstar policies and codes of conduct.

• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred).

• RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of RN experience in direct patient care.

• Fluency in English.
• Basic computer skills and technology proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies.
• Excellent time‑management and critical‑thinking abilities.
