Position: Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

ABOUT THE JOB

As a member of our Jail Medical Team you will be working to provide nursing care within Polk County Jail. Typical duties include health education, performing physical exam, basic wound care, medication administration, maintaining inmate medical records and collaborating with jail and other health partner staff as needed. SCHEDULE

Thursday through Saturday  (2:30pm to 3:00am)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited school for licensed practical nursing and three years of experience in public health or in a clinical setting; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS Possession of a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment. Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, automobile insurance, and access to and use of a personal automobile as a condition of employment.

Polk County is located in the Willamette Valley just an hour from the Pacific Coast to the west and an hour from Portland to the north.
