Job Description:
Your job description is a broad, general written overview of the purpose, scope, qualifications and working conditions of the role for your position at Meduri Farms. Job expectations are the essential functions, tasks, and responsibilities that are required by you to fulfill your job description. These expectations are developed for you to provide additional detail and guidance specific to your position.
They will be updated periodically by your supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Must have Class A CDL
- Must have Tanker Endorsement
- Must have a valid Medical Card
Daily:
- Make sure the equipment and trailers are ready for the workday.
- Perform daily equipment checks (pre-trip) for maintenance and operational effectiveness.
- Report to work on time, with enough time before your first appointment to complete your pre-trip inspection.
- Check your assigned schedule for the day and make sure all production needs are met on the schedule.
- Monitor water levels at the fill station (for water drivers) and make sure that levels are down under 20 inches before leaving for the day. If you are not able to empty enough water, contact your supervisor.
- Communicate with SRS Supervisors to ensure production needs are met.
- Check in with your supervisor throughout the day to let them know how you are doing with your schedule; and make recommendations on how to finish the day's activities if necessary.
- Ensure all logs have been completed for the previous week.
- Attend monthly Truck Drivers Meeting and actively participate.
- Be prepared to perform a monthly random illegal substance analysis as required by the state of Oregon.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance has been completed for the quarter and schedule the following quarter.
- Renew/maintain your CDL certification.
- Renew/maintain CDL medical card.
- Communication with Logistics/Production/Purchasing to ensure business needs are met consistently.
- Work with local carriers as needed to ensure needs are met.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Lineage and other cold storage/warehouse facilities, as well as operations staff/managers.
- Assist Farm Division during Sour Cherry and Blueberry Harvest.
