- Prepare complex federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Conduct tax research and apply findings to client situations to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
- Assist with tax planning and advisory projects in collaboration with managers and partners.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and required documentation.
- Support and mentor staff accountants through review and feedback.
- Assist with workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality within the tax department.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA Candidate.
- 1-3 years (or more) recent tax return preparation experience in a public accounting firm.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, handle multiple assignments and thrive with minimum supervision while performing under tight deadlines.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA license.
- Experience with CCH products (Pro System fx Tax and Engagement)
