Position OverviewWe are seeking a Corporate Senior Accountant to join our corporate finance team in Dallas, Texas
. This Corporate Senior Accountant (Dallas-based) role is critical to the integrity of consolidated financial reporting for a large, complex organization exceeding $500M in annual revenue.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting foundation with deep, hands‑on experience in multi‑entity consolidations, complex journal entries, debt accounting, and month‑end close within a corporate structure. This Corporate Senior Accountant in Dallas will work closely with corporate leadership and business unit finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP‑compliant consolidated financial statements.
Core Responsibilities Consolidations & Corporate Close (Primary Focus)- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual multi‑entity consolidations across domestic and/or international subsidiaries.
- Prepare and post complex consolidation entries, including:
- Intercompany eliminations
- Equity roll‑forwards
- Minority interest adjustments
- Foreign currency translation (if applicable)
- Review and validate consolidation packages from business units to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Manage consolidation system uploads and troubleshoot discrepancies at the corporate level.
- Ensure accurate reporting of consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, including:
- Debt amortization schedules and related interest expense calculations
- Loan reconciliations and entry reconciliation of loan balances
- Deferred financing fees and covenant compliance tracking
- Maintain detailed supporting schedules for debt instruments, credit facilities, and related disclosures.
- Perform account reconciliations for corporate‑level accounts, ensuring accurate tie‑outs and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Support technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards impacting consolidated reporting.
- Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting footnote disclosures.
- Partner with FP&A to ensure consistency between management reporting and GAAP financials.
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, particularly within the consolidation and debt accounting processes.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to consolidations, debt accounting, and corporate accruals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a medium to large organization ($400M+ revenue).
- Significant hands‑on experience with corporate consolidations in a multi‑entity environment.
- Demonstrated expertise with:
- Complex journal entries
- Accrual accounting
- Debt amortization and loan accounting
- Intercompany eliminations and reconciliation processes
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (experience with enterprise‑level consolidation modules preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, reconciliations).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation.
- Deep technical accounting acumen with a consolidations‑first mindset.
- High attention to detail in complex entry preparation and reconciliation of loan balances.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
