The Sr. Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing complex accounting tasks within the healthcare company, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with industry regulations. This role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate has strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and experience in the healthcare sector, with a focus on maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform monthly closing duties for multiple entities by assigned due date.
- Verify accuracy of period-end data and provide explanation for variances to budget.
- Analyze and maintain monthly schedules including accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany allocations.
- Responsible for month-end financial statements for assigned companies.
- Compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Complete assigned monthly bank reconciliations by assigned due date.
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable portfolio for assigned entities and contact customers for payment of past due accounts.
- Assist in the development, implementation, modification, and documentation of accounting procedures.
- Provide documentation to management for annual external audit.
- Assist with other projects as needed.

Educational and Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2+ years staff accounting experience.
- Full range of experience in accounting areas including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
- Comfortable working in a high volume/growth environment and work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external departments.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Oracle Net Suite experience preferred.
