Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial accuracy and process improvement within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting practices, reconciliation processes, and financial analysis to ensure the integrity of company accounts and support operational success.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.

- Prepare, post, and record journal entries while maintaining detailed records for month-end and daily reconciliation activities.

- Review and process credit card transactions, including charges, payments, receipts, and statements, while resolving discrepancies promptly.

- Utilize general ledger systems to manage account balances and support the preparation of financial reports.

- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to address issues and provide innovative solutions for process improvements.

- Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, ensuring data integrity and identifying opportunities for optimization.

- Analyze financial data trends and generate actionable insights that contribute to overall business objectives.

- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams to foster productive relationships.

- Manage high volumes of accounting information across multiple systems, ensuring seamless integration and accuracy. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return preparation.

- Proficiency in handling credit card accounting, including reconciliation and transaction processing.

- Strong skills in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

- Ability to prepare and post journal entries with exceptional attention to detail.

- Knowledge of financial analysis and balance sheet account reconciliation.

- Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.

- Demonstrated ability to work with high volumes of data while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to resolve issues effectively.
