Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in North Dallas, Texas. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a leading company in the telecom industry. As a Contract to permanent role, it provides the potential for long-term career growth while focusing on key accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.

- Participate in month-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines.

- Generate precise and timely financial statements in compliance with industry standards.

- Review and process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions efficiently.

- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts to confirm accuracy.

- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies and trends.

- Maintain and update accounting records, reports, and files to uphold compliance.

- Work closely with team members to enhance accounting procedures and controls.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Proficiency in corporate tax, including tax return preparation and compliance.

- Solid understanding of sales tax regulations and reporting.

- Expertise in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.

- Strong analytical skills to identify financial discrepancies and trends.

- Experience with account reconciliation and month-end close processes.

- Knowledge of financial statement preparation following industry standards.

- Ability to support audit processes by providing required documentation.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
