Senior Accountant

Likewize is searching for a Senior Accountant to join us at our global headquarters in Southlake, TX. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in the successful completion of various accounting functions and will gain broad exposure to the entire accounting cycle while working with regions around the world. We are enhancing our accounting team structure to meet the growing accounting and analysis requirements of a fast-growing, high-paced Global Insurance and Technology company.

Likewize is searching for a Senior Accountant to join us at our global headquarters in Southlake, TX. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in the successful completion of various accounting functions and will gain broad exposure to the entire accounting cycle while working with regions around the world. We are enhancing our accounting team structure to meet the growing accounting and analysis requirements of a fast-growing, high-paced Global Insurance and Technology company.

• Prepare general ledger journal entries, to include eliminations, allocations and accruals
• Participate in the month‑end close process
• Document processes and procedures
• Develop and implement process improvements
• Prepare bordereaux reports for submission to insurance underwriters
• Initiate collection actions on UW accounts receivable balances
• Support Accounts Payable function (manual checks, positive pay and escheatment)
• Assist Sales Tax Department with reconciliation of GL vs monthly/quarterly filings
• Provide cross functional accounting support across the organization (Operations, Legal, Finance)
• Work closely with management team, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles and regulations
• Assist with internal control documentation, performance, monitoring, and review
• Prepare PBCs in support of the annual external financial audit, SOC1&2 audits, internal audit and miscellaneous audits, as required
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required
• Prepare, document, and analyze balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly intercompany entries

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting (bachelor’s in accounting preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel skills
• Experience in managing large data sets
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
• Great Plains and/or Net Suite or other large-scale ERP experience
• ERP transition experience preferred
