Staff Accountant - Dallas, TX

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant for a highly active and well-established commercial real estate development firm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of month-end close processes, with exposure to commercial real estate, development, or property accounting strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Post and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for real estate investment and development entities
• Assist with monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, capital accruals, and account analysis
• Maintain lease information within accounting systems and support rent collection and processing
• Prepare annual NNN reconciliations and respond to tenant inquiries
• Support 1099 preparation and filing
• Assist with construction draws and lender reporting requirements
• Record monthly debt service payments and reconcile loan activity
• Partner with leadership to prepare financial reports for investors, lenders, and external CPAs
• Complete ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Experience in commercial real estate, development, construction, or property accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
