Our client in Dallas, TX has a need for a Bookkeeper on a contract to hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-driven, organized, and people-focused Bookkeeper who enjoys balancing accounting responsibilities with light HR support in a collaborative small-team environment.

As the Bookkeeper you will handle day-to-day accounting operations while providing administrative and HR support as needed. This position requires strong accuracy, communication skills, and the ability to multitask across bookkeeping, payroll‑related tasks, and internal coordination. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller to maintain clean financials and ensure smooth back‑office operations.

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
  • Process AP and AR for the accounting department
  • Reconcile credit card and vendor accounts monthly
  • Prepare invoices, track payments, and assist with follow‑up on outstanding receivables
  • Support month‑end and year‑end reporting with the Controller
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and assist with journal entries
  • Partner with the Controller for ongoing accounting needs
  • Maintain employee records related to benefits and payroll deductions
  • Assist with payroll by ensuring correct benefit‑related deductions (ADP)
  • Provide administrative support to leadership or HR as needed
  • Process payroll as needed using ADP
Bookkeeper Background Profile
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required
  • Experience with Advantage software is a plus but not required
  • Understanding of payroll basics; ADP experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills with comfort interacting with employees and vendors
  • HR experience or familiarity with HR compliance is helpful but not required
