Overview
A leading, global real estate investment, development, and property management firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join its Dallas-based team supporting a high-profile mixed-use development portfolio.
This role offers strong visibility to leadership, direct collaboration with operations and development teams, and exposure to complex real estate accounting in a dynamic, institutional environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- CPA (or actively pursuing) preferred, not required
- 2+ years public accounting experience or 3+ years progressive accounting experience
- Commercial real estate accounting experience strongly preferred
- Public accounting background strongly preferred
- Collaborate with finance leadership and operations teams to support accurate financial reporting and oversee construction-related funding activity
- Coordinate capital calls and debt funding submissions to equity partners and lenders
- Oversee cash management activities, including processing electronic payments for distributions, loan obligations, and other transactions
- Analyze accounts receivable balances, evaluate collectability, and recommend appropriate reserves or write-offs
- Partner with property management to monitor outstanding receivables and support collection strategies
- Prepare and review general ledger entries to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with applicable standards
- Track key reporting deadlines, including lender and construction draw timelines
- Lead monthly close activities, including preparation and review of detailed account reconciliations
- Generate tenant billings (recurring and non-recurring) and ensure timely application of cash receipts
- Validate financial information received from external service providers and cross-functional teams
- Perform comprehensive general ledger analysis and investigate variances
- Compute and record development, property management, and construction management fees in accordance with agreements
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, tracking, and periodic depreciation/amortization
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial packages with supporting schedules for management and stakeholders
- Compile and submit lender-related funding requests, including tenant improvements, leasing commissions, and capital expenditures
- Interpret accounting guidance for complex or unique transactions and document conclusions
