Position SummaryThe Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for the full-cycle accounting and reporting requirements of Stream Realty Partners LP. This role delivers timely and accurate financial reporting, manages complex multi-entity accounting, and performs intercompany eliminations and consolidation. The Senior Corporate Accountant will serve as the primary owner of the month-end close process for the parent company and will report directly to the Corporate Controller.
This position also partners with Corporate Accounting leadership on various projects and ad hoc requests.
- Lead and manage the month-end close process for the parent company, including preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Responsible for intercompany accounting, including recording, reconciliation, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation of multi-entity structures.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to corporate accounting reviewers and Stream Partners.
- Track investment entities and review supporting documentation to accurately record equity pickups.
- Partner with A/P to review invoices to ensure proper coding and post payment batches.
- Prepare and post IC billings; review and approve cash receipts.
- Develop and enhance SOPs, accounting procedures, and workflow documentation.
- Improve journal entry and reconciliation documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
- Communicate and collaborate with Corporate Accountants who oversee assigned subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, alignment, and timely resolution of accounting matters.
- Support special reporting, analytical projects, and other ad hoc initiatives as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience required.
- Big Four or public accounting experience highly preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
- Strong, demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required;
Yardi experience a plus. - Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with partners and internal/external customers.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of financial data.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Commercial real estate or property management industry experience is a plus.
- Self-starter and strong problem solver, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
