Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and play a key role in supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and supporting the company’s close and audit processes.
Responsibilities- Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and accruals
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and analyze account activity
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Assist with annual audit processes, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Support financial reporting and analysis for management
- Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- 2–4 years of accounting experience in public accounting, audit, or corporate accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Public accounting experience, including audit
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Experience working in a professional services, investment, or corporate accounting environment
