Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a manufacturing organization in Dallas, Texas on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who can step into a hands-on role and provide dependable support across core financial activities. The position will contribute to accurate reporting, steady transaction processing, and day-to-day accounting coverage within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain daily accounting operations by supporting general ledger activity, accounts payable workflows, and accounts receivable processing

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to help ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting

- Contribute to month-end close activities by organizing supporting documentation and resolving routine discrepancies

- Process invoices, payments, cash applications, and other accounting transactions with a high level of accuracy

- Provide adaptable accounting support to a small team by assisting where priorities shift during the assignment

- Use Epicor ERP to complete accounting tasks, review transaction data, and support operational continuity

- Assist with accounting needs tied to system-related changes while helping maintain day-to-day financial processes

- Partner with internal stakeholders to address questions, clarify account activity, and keep records current Requirements - Mid-level accounting experience with practical knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions

- Proven ability to prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support month-end close activities

- Experience working in Microsoft Excel for analysis, tracking, and financial record maintenance

- Familiarity with Epicor ERP; exposure to Kinetic is beneficial

- Background in manufacturing accounting is preferred

- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and respond effectively to changing business needs

- Knowledge of general accounting principles, including transaction processing and account analysis

- Experience with sales tax, corporate tax, or related tax support work is a plus
