Sunoco LP is looking for a Staff Accountant/Analyst to join our Commissioned Agent Accounting team in Dallas, TX. Essential

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Managing the daily processes of commissioned agent and customer account management, and responding to and resolving any issues quickly with a sense of urgency and satisfaction.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal counterparts as well as external customers.
  • Ensuring consistent on‑time payment to external vendors, on‑time collection from external customers, and quick identification and resolution of any issues to eliminate aging payables and receivables.
  • Effectively analyzing financial results, and providing supporting details and insights that contribute to the success of the company.
  • Performing consignment site accounting, including monitoring daily fuel sales and reconciling inventory balances.
  • Preparing and issuing fuel sales invoices, verifying volumes against daily close reports.
  • Tracking inventory fluctuations, investigating variances, and resolving discrepancies with operations.

Education And/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in Excel required. Sound understanding of accounting practices and principles. General Ledger experience including manual journal entries and problem solving using T‑accounts.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PDI, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, or Robotic Process Automation tools is a plus.

Required Experience By Level
  • Associate Accountant/Analyst: bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Accountant/Analyst: bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Accountant/Analyst: bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
Working Conditions
  • Usually normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
