OverviewOur client is a multi-location services platform experiencing rapid growth through acquisitions and geographic expansion.
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Staff Accountant to support financial operations across a growing, multi-entity environment. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and an opportunity to contribute to the continued build-out of scalable accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Month-End Close- Prepare and post monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, depreciation, etc.)
- Support execution of a timely and accurate month-end close (target: 5–7 days)
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized supporting schedules and work papers
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and internal reports
- Support job cost tracking and cost allocation across projects
- Assist with Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and financial analysis
- Learn and support Percentage-of-Completion (PoC) revenue recognition methodologies
- Partner with operational teams to monitor project-level financial performance
- Identify and elevate variances or inconsistencies
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding
- Support accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections review
- Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple entities
- Support field/branch personnel with accounting-related questions
- Assist with internal reporting and variance analysis
- Support audit and lender reporting processes
- Identify discrepancies or control gaps and elevate appropriately
Help enforce standardized accounting processes across locations - Assist with integration of newly acquired entities
- Utilize ERP systems to maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual processes
- Support system implementations and process enhancements
- Assist in training users on accounting systems and procedures
Required
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting support
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership mindset, and desire to grow
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with job costing, project accounting, or WIP schedules
- Exposure to Percentage-of-Completion (PoC) revenue recognition
- Background in construction, field services, or project-based industries
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems used in project-based accounting
