Position ProfileWeaver’s Public Sector Audit team seeks an Audit Supervisor – Public Sector to lead fieldwork and sections of multiple public sector audits, ensuring high‑quality execution, technical compliance, and team development. The role owns planning, risk assessment, and supervision, reviews complex areas, and serves as the primary contact for client controllers, CFOs, grants managers, and business officers.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 4‑5 years of public accounting experience
- CPA candidate
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAS, GASB, internal controls, and documentation standards
- GAGAS (Yellow Book) experience and Uniform Guidance/Single Audit leading experience
- Experience leading state and local government audits and other public sector engagements (governmental entities, educational institutions, or nonprofits)
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
