Federal Tax Senior Manager- ENERGY

Job Opportunity

Our client is a Top 10 Nat'l CPA Firm & "Best Places to Work" that is expanding its offices in Texas!! This role is for a business development oriented individual capable of working in a team environment to build our energy practice. The candidate will have a minimum of seven-years of experience serving the energy sector and possess solid technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Proven capability to develop, nurture and maintain client relationships is a must. The ability to manage multiple projects and team members is critical to the success of this role. This role is for you if you can:

• Network and develop new relationships.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work closely with partners and others to develop a full-service energy practice.
• Actively manage work-in process and accounts receivable.
• Provide solid tax compliance and innovative tax planning strategies to clients.
• Review ASC 740 calculations.
• Develop, mentor and manage client service staff.
• Envision the potential of a fast growing office.

Skill set:

• CPA required.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting. An MST is a plus.
• Have at least 7 years' experience in public accounting; strong preference for Big 4 or large regional firm experience.
• Have 7+ yrs exp in energy Sector.
• Possess advanced income tax accounting knowledge.
• Be able to function in a fast-paced and interactive team environment.
• Have outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Possess a desire to succeed and build something of value.
