Audit Manager - Hybrid - Dallas, TX

LHH is seeking an Audit Manager for a nationally recognized public accounting and consulting firm known for its collaborative culture and strong professional development opportunities. This role is ideal for a CPA with a background in public accounting and nonprofit clients, who enjoys leading engagements, mentoring teams, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

• Manage multiple nonprofit audit engagements, including audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements
• Oversee Single Audit engagements, including risk assessment, compliance testing, and report preparation
• Lead engagement planning, including timelines, staffing, and risk considerations
• Review work papers and deliverables to ensure compliance with professional standards
• Identify and resolve complex accounting and audit issues
• Serve as primary client contact and provide ongoing advisory support throughout the year
• Monitor engagement budgets, billing, and overall financial performance
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated client solutions
• Prepare and present reports to management, audit committees, and boards
• Mentor and develop staff through coaching, feedback, and training initiatives
• Support process improvements and contribute to practice development efforts

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• 2+ years of nonprofit experience, including Single Audits (Uniform Guidance)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
