Sales & Use Tax Accountant - On-Site - Dallas

LHH is working with a national facilities services company who is looking for a new Sales & Use Tax Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for multi-state sales and use tax compliance while also supporting broader tax and accounting operations. This is a hands-on role suited for a tax professional with strong sales tax experience who is comfortable assisting with day-to-day accounting activities as needed.

• Prepare, review, and file sales and use tax returns in 40+ states
• Maintain sales tax codes and ensure accurate tax application across transactions
• Review invoices for proper sales and use tax treatment
• Research and resolve sales tax discrepancies and notices
• Support other tax functions as needed, including income tax-related work
• Coordinate with third-party providers for outsourced income tax return preparation
• Assist with operational accounting tasks such as data entry, check preparation, and general support
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance

• 5–10 years of relevant tax and accounting experience
• Strong background in multi-state sales and use tax
• Willingness to support additional tax areas beyond sales tax
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable in a hands-on, operational environment
• Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
