Property Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support financial operations for a real estate portfolio in Dallas, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage accounting activities accurately, maintain strong financial records, and contribute to timely reporting. The role requires hands-on experience with property accounting processes, month-end close activities, and Yardi Software in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned properties, ensuring financial records remain accurate and complete.

- Prepare and review month-end close tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

- Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions in accordance with accrual accounting principles.

- Use Yardi Software to process financial data, monitor property-level activity, and generate accounting reports.

- Analyze account balances and investigate discrepancies to ensure reliable financial reporting.

- Support preparation of monthly and periodic financial statements for property portfolios.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather required documentation and resolve accounting-related questions. Requirements
