Senior Tax Accountant | Hybrid in Dallas, TX | Salary Range: $114,000 Base + up to $15,000
Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for a growing global technology company in Dallas, Texas. This role sits within the finance organization and covers a broad scope of tax compliance, including federal, state, and international income and indirect tax, with room to grow and take on increasing responsibility over time.
The ideal candidate will bring 3 or more years of multinational corporate tax experience, a bachelor's degree, and strong familiarity with both income and indirect tax compliance. CPA certification or active candidacy is preferred, and SALT or international tax experience is a plus. The client is also looking for someone who communicates clearly across all levels of the organization, takes initiative without being asked, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

- Own the annual tax filing calendar and monitor team progress against compliance goals.
- Respond to inquiries from government agencies, external auditors, and internal stakeholders, including tax audit notices.
- Prepare multinational tax compliance across income, indirect, property, and other reporting obligations.
- Reconcile tax-related GL accounts on a regular basis.
- Research and monitor proposed and existing tax legislation to support forecasting of the company's tax liability.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and international income and indirect tax returns and work papers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to advance tax and company-wide goals.
- Support external firm-prepared returns through review and data preparation.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 or more years of corporate tax experience covering income and indirect tax compliance.
- CPA or active CPA candidacy preferred.
- SALT and/or international tax experience a plus.
- Proficiency in tax and financial platforms such as Avalara, Net Suite, Vertex, Tableau, or Salesforce preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort across the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week onsite after an initial 5-week in-person training period.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
