We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing accounting, extensive experience with Net Suite ERP, and a proven ability to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic financial insights. This role is responsible for overseeing the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the month-end close process, and supporting executive leadership with financial analysis and business planning.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, bill of materials (BOMs), and work-in-process (WIP) reporting.
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory controls and reconciliation processes.
- Optimize and maintain Net Suite ERP, including financial reporting, system enhancements, workflows, and internal controls.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Establish, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and cash management.
- Mentor, develop, and lead the accounting team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
- Strong experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Net Suite ERP, including financial reporting and system administration.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and production accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience managing audits and coordinating with external auditors.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting multi-location manufacturing operations.
- Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
- Knowledge of demand planning, inventory forecasting, and supply chain finance.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
