Payroll Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist in Dallas, TX to support payroll operations and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This role will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting compliance with applicable wage and tax regulations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule

+ Maintain payroll records, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax with holdings

+ Review and audit timesheets, payroll changes, and employee data for accuracy

+ Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner

+ Assist with payroll tax reporting and compliance activities

+ Coordinate with Human Resources and Accounting on employee changes, benefits deductions, and reporting

+ Prepare payroll reports for management and support month-end activities

+ Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality

+ Help ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local payroll regulations

+ Support payroll system updates, testing, and process improvements

Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of payroll processing or related accounting experience

+ Knowledge of payroll procedures, tax with holdings, and compliance requirements

+ Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems

+ Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
