Job Overview
As a member of CLA’s CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) practice, you will be an integral part of the client service team working directly 1:1 with clients to provide customized accounting services that support their business or organization growth. This role focuses on the Healthcare Industry.
Responsibilities- Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting activities.
- Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities for all or part of an organization.
- Prepare and/or direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses, making appropriate recommendations.
- Monitor financial ratios and key performance indicators (KPI).
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions.
- Advise management on short‑term and long‑term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
- Communicate regularly with boards, bankers, investors, and constituents, including preparation and/or hosting of board presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- At least six years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience; preferred experience in logistics industry.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software and systems;
Quick Books experience highly preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other applicable software.
This position is primarily office‑based but requires local travel to client sites and occasional non‑local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings, or other business‑related purposes.
Skills & Knowledge- Deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (FASB/SFAS) or other comprehensive basis of accounting.
- Strong organizational, goal‑orientation, and self‑motivation skills.
- Ability to handle pressure in a professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—clear, concise, and considerate of others’ needs.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and value diverse contributions.
- Proven success in managing work and key client relationships to exceed client expectations.
