I'm partnering with a client to find an experienced Senior Cost Accountant for a full-time opportunity offering $85,000–$95,000 annually (no bonus).
Location: North Dallas (Preston Rd & LBJ/635 area)
Schedule: 4 days per week in the office
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and COGS analysis. If you've worked in a manufacturing environment and enjoy partnering with operations to drive financial performance, this could be a great fit.
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of cost accounting and inventory control experience
- Strong COGS and inventory accounting background required
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience is a significant plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred but not required)
Responsibilities include:
- Managing inventory accounting and reconciliations
- Processing inventory and COGS-related journal entries
- Analyzing gross margin, inventory, and cost variances
- Supporting month-end close and annual audits
- Maintaining standard costs and inventory valuation
- Collaborating with operations and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
