Staff Accountant AP

Job Description

Financial Additions is searching for a Staff Accountant with Accounts Payable and oil & gas experience. This is an onsite position located in the uptown area of Dallas, but a few days each month can be remote. This is a permanent role (not contract!) and they are eager to hire!

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close duties
• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
• Review bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Manage vendor relationships, vendor master files, and invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payments while taking advantage of available discounts.

Requirements include:

• 2+ years in Staff Accountant position with Accounts Payable duties
• Oil & gas industry experience
• Experience with ERP system and solid Excel skills
• Excellent organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance a plus
