Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing industrial fabrication and mechanical services organization. This is a high-impact leadership role partnering directly with executive leadership to drive financial accuracy, profitability, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Perform variance analyses and provide actionable financial insights to leadership.
- Ensure accurate transaction coding by job, cost category, and department.
- Maintain accurate job costing across labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead.
- Reconcile estimated versus actual project costs and identify margin risks.
- Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and revenue recognition activities.
- Oversee sales and payroll tax compliance.
- Manage exemption certificates and ensure accurate tax reporting and remittance.
- Support external audits and year-end financial activities.
- Maintain rolling 30/60/90-day cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and support collection efforts.
- Oversee accounts payable processes and align payments with cash flow objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong accounting controls and audit trails.
- Support integration and optimization of payroll, procurement, and job-costing systems.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and financial reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Accounting experience within construction, industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or project-based environments.
- Cash flow forecasting
- Proficiency with Quick Books and financial reporting systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information to executive leadership.

- Identify margin erosion and profitability risks early.
- Improve cash flow visibility and collections performance.
