Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This infrastructure supports distribution of over 15 billion gallons annually to Sunoco and partner-branded locations, independent dealers, and commercial customers.
Sunoco is looking for a Lead Pipeline Billing and Revenue Analyst to join the Operational Accounting team. The role emphasizes transforming data into meaningful information and leveraging technology to streamline processes.
ResponsibilitiesThe Pipeline Billing and Revenue Operational Accounting team manages inventory, revenue and costs arising from the transportation of crude and refined products through Sunoco's pipelines and connected terminals. It supports FERC reporting and Revenue Footnote disclosures, provides internal guidance to Commercial Teams for drafting agreements and evaluating accounting implications, and offers external customer support by addressing billing inquiries. The essential duties are designed to ensure margin activities are captured in the general ledger.
- Manages daily processes for pipeline ticket entry and customer billing
- Ensures that all customer billing is on time and accurate
- Resolves issues accurately and with urgency
- Responsible for a high-volume of accounting information moving between multiple systems
- Maintains productive relationships with counter parties through proactive communication
- Analyzes financial results effectively, providing supporting details and insights
- Exhibits a record of sustained improvement in key metrics and contributes to team success
- Consistently fulfills commitments, maintains transparency, and meets deadlines

Experience: Years of experience commensurate with requirements below
- Required Skills: Proficiency in Excel required
Technical
Skills:
Experience with SAP, Synthesis, or Top Tech a plus
Preferred qualifications: Experience with Power BI or Alteryx preferred
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Accountant/Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
The Lead Accountant /Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience
