Our client is a growing, family-owned construction services organization seeking a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to take ownership of the accounting function and help build scalable processes as the company continues to expand.

The company generates approximately $40 million in annual revenue and is looking for someone who can help streamline operations, improve close timelines, and bring structure to a growing finance function.

• Own full‑cycle accounting operations in a high‑volume construction environment
• Lead month‑end and weekly close processes
• Manage job costing across multiple projects and locations
• Prepare and analyze Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) schedules and reporting
• Oversee project billing and revenue recognition processes
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and fixed assets
• Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and trend reporting
• Support budgeting and project cash flow management
• Partner with external CPA firms and tax professionals
• Develop and implement accounting processes, controls, and reporting improvements
• Support operational teams with project‑related financial reporting
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statement preparation

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Construction accounting experience is required
• Strong understanding of job costing and WIP reporting
• Experience managing full‑cycle accounting processes
• Ability to thrive in a hands‑on, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong systems aptitude and ability to learn new software platforms
• Self‑starter with excellent organization and follow‑through

• Accounting leadership experience
• Experience with Quick Books Online
• Experience working with payroll systems
• Experience supporting multi‑state operations
