Accounting & HR Intern (College Student)
Company: Magnet HR
Location: Frisco, TX (remote) Must be in the DFW area or will not be considered.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 20–40 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule
Magnet HR is seeking a motivated Accounting & HR Operations Intern to join our growing team. This internship provides hands‑on experience in accounting, finance, payroll, HR, and business operations while supporting multiple clients.
This position is designed for Accounting or Finance majors interested in becoming future Accounting Lead or Staff Accountant. Outstanding interns may be offered a full‑time position after graduation.
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Quick Books and accounting software
- Payroll processing for multiple clients
- Federal Forms 941 and 940
- Multi‑state payroll tax compliance
- Accounts payable and invoicing
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- HR operations, onboarding, I‑9s and E‑Verify
- Compliance and business operations
- Process improvement and client support
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting.
- Support federal and multi‑state payroll tax filings.
- Process accounts payable and client invoicing.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
- Complete employee onboarding, I‑9s, and E‑Verify.
- Analyze financial data and prepare management reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Support accounting, HR, and operations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Junior or Senior preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Quick Books experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Monday‑Friday
- 20-25hours per week
