Accountant (CPA)

Dagen is recruiting an Accountant(CPA) for an upstream oil & gas company in Dallas, TX.

This is an in-office position.

This Accountant position’s function is responsible for preparing and entering journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, analyzing and ensuring accuracy of data, and providing financial information for decision-making. This position also plays a crucial role in compliance, internal controls, and managing financial resources.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements of multiple entities
• Reconcile bank statements and perform general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries
• Assist in the preparation of trend analysis and forecasting
• Prepare schedules and financial statements for tax preparation
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
• documenting business transactions
• Review accounts payable coding
• Perform special analysis and ad-hoc projects as needed

• 2-4 years of public accounting or related industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA highly preferred
• Oil & Gas industry (or client) experience highly preferred
• Experience handling multiple companies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with use of accounting systems, and ability to learn new systems quickly. Knowledge of
