Senior Consolidations Accountant, In Office ONLY 1 day​/week (110K-120K+Bonus

LHH is looking to fill a Senior Consolidations Accountant position in Dallas with a well-known and global aviation company. The Senior Consolidations Accountant is responsible for the consolidation and preparation of internal financial statements for the parent company. This position will also respond to external audit requests and provide support as it pertains to the consolidated group.

This position is in office ONLY 1 days per week and pays 100K-120K+Bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely consolidation and preparation of monthly reporting package for parent company.
• Ensure intercompany and related party transactions are identified, properly recorded and eliminated.
• Prepare quarterly and annual US GAAP consolidated financial statements including footnotes and related support.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Achieves accounting objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance workflow of the department.
• Provides training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Analyzes complex financial reports and records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required).
• 5+ years’ experience in Accounting with at least 2 years of solid GL and reporting
• Technical knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation and GL reconciliations (required).
• CPA (preferred but not required)
